Congratulations to the CW ELITE high school team for taking
home the 2017 WARRIOR LAVA LAX CHAMPIONSHIP!
CW Elite Lacrosse Club was established by Chris Spahn and Pete Cuda, in an effort to further develop the sport of lacrosse in the Westmoreland and surrounding counties.
After being involved in various summer travel lacrosse programs, in which we typically left with feelings of disappointment and an empty bank account, we felt we could offer something much better. We wanted to provide a program where not only was the primary focus on further developing a players Lacrosse IQ and improved skill level, but to do so at a better value.
Our mission is to develop a high-level lacrosse program utilizing talent from the regional programs east of Pittsburgh. There will be no need to travel into Pittsburgh, as all practices will be hosted at the state of the art turf facilities located at Kiski Prep and Latrobe High School.
Chris and Pete have over 40 years’ combined experience playing and coaching. Not only was Chris a 4 year starter at Elmira College, but he was also recognized as Captain his senior year. As the Head Varsity Coach at Kiski Prep, Chris has developed the program into one of highest ranked programs in WPIAL. Pete played his high school lacrosse in upstate New York, as well as Division 1 collegiate lacrosse at the University of Massachusetts. He also the co-founder of the Central Westmoreland Lacrosse (CWLAX) youth program, and is currently the head Varsity Coach Greater Latrobe high school.
